Here Is What You'll Learn

  • Understanding Interval Numbers Easily. A quick overview here just to grasp what Generic intervals are and how to think of them throughout the rest of the course.
  • Intervals Create Scales. Here is how intervals are used to create generic scales. just to grab the concept without too much detail.
  • Triads. Finally we have put the foundation in to understand the how to re-arrange the letters of scales so we can instantly start to spell our first type of chord...the triad.
  • 7th Chords. Finally we have put the foundation in to understand the how to re-arrange the letters of scales so we can instantly start to spell our first type of chord...the triad.
  • 9th Chords. Here are our first of the extended chords...the 9ths. you'll see how simple it is to see hidden 7th chords inside these chords.
  • 11th Chords. Now we are talking some intimidating chords....or maybe not. By now you will find this process pretty routine and predictable. Enjoy!
  • 13th Chords. The 13th chord is the logical conclusion to the pattern. Very easy to grasp!
  • Suspended Chords. This chord type is the only common chord type that doesn't follow this pattern, but is still easily understandable. One of my favorite chords.

Here Is What You'll Learn

  • Combining Scales And Chords. A lot of musicians get stuck on this, but it really is super simple.
  • Setting Priorities. Sometimes it gets overwhelming and confusing. You may not sure where to start. This lesson will help you to set priorities.
  • Sharps, Flats, Numbers, and Letters. To fully be able to grasp music, you'll need to be able to understand the different uses of the Sharp / Flat symbols as they relate to letters & numbers differently.
  • Chord Titles. At this point, you will understand how to apply the sharps and flats, you will need to apply that to naming chords in the keys. Don't let the big names scare you, I'll give you some strategies for remembering the names.
  • Major Scale Construction. Now lets focus on the Major scale and how to make it in greater detail.
  • Cycle Of Fourths. Now we must add the detail back in. This is the first of 2 tools that you will need to understand how we will put the flats back in to the Chords, scales, and keys. Then we will be able to spell and arrange the keys for easy memorization. Most musicians that have made the cycle of 5th's and 4th's have only done it once or twice because of the traditional way of doing it. Here you will be able to do it in a couple minutes!
